Honey! I'm home!

Okay, I'm a bad blogger.  It's been months. I've probably lost all of my followers.  Shame on me. 

So to update you on all that has happened.  I have made friends with my boyfriend's cat... to a point.

So hopefully I will keep drawing for a while.  I'd been having trouble coming up with ideas that didn't cross into subjects that I promised my mom I would stay away from.  I have a few ideas swimming in my head, including some animations.  I got myself a neat animation program that I have no idea how to use.  I've been working pretty consistently so I don't have a bunch of days with nothing to do so I can figure it out.  I think I'm rambling now so I'll stop now.

Everyone is looking!

I hear positive remarks, negative and see looks of utter disbelief.  It's pretty rare that someone doesn't take a second look.  You would think in this day and age, I could wander around with a colored mohawk and people wouldn't care.

Infatuation

I bought this ages ago for Leela. Leela liked it ok but it doesn't squeak or have fluff to rip out and throw everywhere so it's not her favorite. Naru has fallen hard for this thing. I never thought I would see any creature cuddle with a hard piece of plastic.

Underrated character

I've drawn a lot about my boyfriend's jerk cat. I haven't mentioned his dog, Naru. She's a corgi and Australian shepherd mix. The cat used to be completely in love with Naru as his only animal friend around. They cuddled all the time and it was adorable. Then I moved in and brought Leela. I hate to say it but despite Naru's cuteness, beauty, and all around nice demeanor, Leela has more charisma.

This cat decides he only likes indie hipster music. I don't care how much of a hipster I am, I like Justin Timberlake. Is that so wrong?

This cat hates me

It's not his fault really. His story is sad. He had an owner that had some issues. He was thrown against the wall repeatedly and starved. Eventually, the cat's original owner's caretaker took him away and gave him to my boyfriend. The cat doesn't like very many women in general.

He's getting better with me. He'll play with me and sometimes allow me to pet him but he still won't let me hold him like my boyfriend does.

Playing in Snow

For New Years, my boyfriend and I went to visit snowy Prescott, AZ.  I have lived my whole life in areas where snow only shows up about every 30 years or so and never sticks to the ground.  We figured out a way to go sledding without any sort of toboggan, made snow angels, had snow ball fights, and tried to build a snow man. 

We had the idea to make a snow monster instead. This was what we intended to make:

The "people" running away look more like they are worshipping the monster than running away. Did we accidently make a false idol? 

I wasn't about to leave behind my awesome bunny monster hat but the monster looked like just a mound without it so we made a face out of sticks for him.

Now he looks sad. We went back and checked on him the next day and he was still there. I really hope no one knocked him down.

What do you guys think of me posting photos? I'm just trying to get more content for you guys and I don't have ideas for drawings that make sense without a real life connection.
